St. Margaret’s School (SMS) is Western Canada’s only all-girls, independent day and boarding school located in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Founded in 1908, SMS is an international centre for girls’ learning and leadership development, providing empowering education for girls from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12 (boarding grades 7–12).

It is also Canada’s first all-girls STEM school. Ours is a community that cares deeply about girls; we have been dedicated to their education, development and wellbeing for over a century. Together, we help girls become powerful learners with the knowledge, attitudes and courage to thrive – in their studies and careers, and in life. Our small-scale learning environment provides teachers with the flexibility to personalize learning for each student – building upon individual passions, and challenging each girl to improve her own performance, exceed her own expectations and realize her own potential.

Confident girls with dreams become inspired women. Whether they want to be astronauts, accountants, or ambassadors, girls need to know that nothing can stand in their way.
