Government House and the Office of the Lieutenant Governor are situated on 36 acres of woodlands and gardens in the heart of Victoria. As the representative of the Crown in British Columbia, the Lieutenant Governor works to strengthen relationships between the people of British Columbia and the Crown through celebrating diversity and championing causes important to British Columbians. Government House also operates a seasonal Tea Room and Museum during the summer months, and on occasion, runs house tours. The grounds of Government House are open to the public from sunrise to sunset.
