There is a science to brewing, so it follows that there are geeks among us. I count myself as one. We can jaw on endlessly about the details, hailing the happy embrace of malt and hops, bitter and sweet, light and dark. We wax poetic about alpha and beta acids, conversion temperatures, micro-organisms, valves and attenuation.

But science can be art and a passionate brewer understands balance. We understand where and when compromise is possible or necessary. Some of us even get all misty-eyed and philosophical when trying to explain how we pour (pun intended) our hearts into making the absolute best beer we can. That is, of course, the reason we brew.

I make beer. Delicious beer. It is a lovely marriage between art and science and we pride ourselves in the quality of beer we produce, that we do so with integrity and passion, all while bringing people together. And when people get together, amazing things happen.
