Ride the Glide

How disappointing to have this bike shop show so little respect for their customers. Service is poor at best. The owners are rude and dismissive! Customers expect more after spending big money on an e-bike! Thank goodness there are other e-bike shops in Victoria! Any one of them has to be better than Ride the Glide! Don't waste your money!! Even a one star rating is being overly kind! As Ride the Glide has now responded to my review, I will elaborate. My son, who lives with a brain injury depends on his e-bike, purchased from you, as his only form of mobility aside from public transit. His experience with your company has been very frustrating for him. His bike was stolen at one point and seriously trashed by the thieves. Another bike shop helped with repairs. He has been treated poorly by your company whenever he has contacted you. Recently he approached you with a malfunctioning battery and was refused any service or assistance. While you may excel at rentals....per the positive comments on Yelp....your customer service leaves much to be desired.

Staff was awesome, had great suggestions on what bike and where to go. Very friendly. The bikes were pretty much new and performed so well! We left there wanting to go buy some! Really had a great time and can't wait to go back. We were able to go further because we had the pedal Assist than we would have without it. So relaxing too!

Rented ebikes for the afternoon with wife and teenage kids - so much fun! Explored the Galloping Goose bike trail.

Corrine and her daughter were extremely helpful and friendly, and made it so easy. Highly recommend!

Fantastic staff, perfect location. I rented my first e-bike here for a nice fall ride. The staff was efficient, friendly and knowledgable about e-bikes. It doesn't take long to learn the particulars of riding one and then you're out the door and on the new Wharf Street protected bike lane! You can go over the new bridge and ride the Galloping Goose or turn right and head to Dallas Road waterfront. I loved this bike-- a cruiser-- and now plan to buy one. E-bikes are the future! My commute to work is only 7 km and getting in a car every day to get there makes no sense. I still feel like I got some exercise but not a vigorous work-out. I wasn't sweating, but I certainly wasn't cold. I tackled some major hills in town and the e-bike got me at a steady 28km/hour. I

This place is fantastic. Super reasonable rates, extremely friendly staff and of course the bike are AWESOME! We had so much fun cruising all around the waterfront and up to the University. What a blast and what a great place to rent from. They will even drop them off at your hotel/VRBO. We picked them up from the store.

Amazing service! The owners were super friendly and helpful and made sure that we were prepared before we were on our own. I understand that the owners can't control the riders that rent the bikes but they were clear that our responsibility as riders was to be respectful to others on the trail. The bikes themselves are very fun, and differ from conventional cycling in that you can enjoy the view without being out of breath. Wish them the best and super excited to come back for another ride!

My family and I went on the 2.5 hour Segway tour by Ride the Glide. The tours offered by our cruise ship were boring to my teenage sons so I googled "Segway Victoria" and found this company. It was a quick 20 minute cab ride to Ride the Glide from the port. We signed a waiver, watched a safety video and then practiced before we went on the trails which led us to downtown Victoria. Michael was our instructor and leader and we found him to be humorous and informative. We wore ear pieces which allowed us to hear him. It was a beautiful day, so much fun, and I would highly recommend this tour!
