Event Description: You're invited to Woodwynn Farms for a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Join us in recognizing the year-round indoor farm market now officially approved by the District of Central Saanich. Immediately afterwards, join in the celebrations during the Farm Market Open House. RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY 11:00 AM Held outside. Please dress appropriately. FARM MARKET OPEN HOUSE 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM - Enjoy live music, hot apple cider and a bowl of chili. Make a fresh wreath. Take a self-guided tour of the Woodwynn Peace Garden & Labyrinth. Stay for just a short time or for the afternoon. WREATH MAKING WORKSHOP - $5 DONATION PER PERSON - 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM - Make a holiday wreath with farm-fresh boughs and natural materials. Bring your creativity and we'll supply the materials. Suitable for adults and children 6 and over. CHILI-BY-THE-BOWL - $5 DONATION PER BOWL - 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM - Enjoy a hot bowl of chili and a fresh bun. Chili prepared and served by the Knights of Columbus Council #1256. Meat donated by Carnivore Meats, buns donated by Breadstuffs Bakery. PRODUCE: In-season farm-grown produce available. Cash, Interact, VISA, MC accepted PARKING: Parking attendants will be assisting with parking Dress warm for the winter weather and the unheated indoor farm market! ABOUT WOODWYNN FARMS: Woodwynn Farms is a therapeutic community for the homeless located on a 193-acre farm in Central Saanich. The Woodwynn experience is a massive, positive, healthy pattern-interrupt to the participants’ worlds, in as many aspects as we can have come together in one place at one time. As a therapeutic community for the homeless, we offer an opportunity to change peoples’ lives with educational and work programs based on responsibility, dignity, independence and the principles of peer-to-peer help.
