Event Description: On October 7th, Dockside Dialogues will explore the Industry that exists in the City of Victoria! From furniture, to boots, to boats and more, the neighbourhood of Rock Bay is home to a multitude of diverse “makers” who are making their mark both in the Capital City and in international markets. As these businesses and this local industry are large contributors to the local economy of Victoria, this Dockside Green Dialogue aims to highlight the local manufacturing scene that exists within our City. The Dialogue will take place at a local manufacturer’s show room in Rock Bay, and will invite a conversation with these makers; exploring their ingredients for business success, what factors come into consideration to build a more vibrant manufacturing sector, and asking is there a point in which one becomes “too big” to stay in our city?
