This two-day workshop is designed to help participants identify and use effective strategies for interpersonal communication in the workplace. Respect and trust are at the heart of effective communication and those core concepts are reinforced throughout the training. In the industrial environment it is imperative for workers at all levels to communicate effectively, resolve conflict and take advantage of coaching and mentoring opportunities in the context of the unique culture of the industrial marine workplace. Geared to the needs of existing and future leaders, managers and supervisors, this workshop is one of three new leadership skills courses. The other titles in this series include Coaching and Mentoring and Conflict Resolution. While each course is designed as a stand-alone workshop, it is suggested that participants consider this Interpersonal Communication workshop as a foundation.
