Event Description:
Visit the Victoria Executive Centre's website for even more information: http://www.vecthinkspace.ca/event/everythingdisc/ Join Fiona Prince on June 23rd and learn how to get your needs met. Are you at that point in your career where you’ve started to notice patterns at work? Have you noticed that certain kinds of projects are challenging to do, certain kinds of people are frustrating to work with and certain kinds of environments are stressful to be in? Do you love your job, but wonder why particular aspects of your work life affect you in these predictable, and sometimes negative, ways? Perhaps you’re a manager and you’ve started seeing patterns within your team. One employee tends to alienate herself from the rest of the group because she prefers working alone. This behaviour offends the other team members which in turn makes them avoid her. Maybe another employee meets all people-oriented projects with enthusiasm, but drags his feet when asked to take on tasks that remove him from the rest of the team. Wouldn’t it be helpful to know what your employees need, where their strengths lie and how they can best relate to one another? The answers to these questions define a person’s workplace “style”. No two people are alike (and that’s wonderful!) so we must think of them that way. Understanding other peoples’ styles in the workplace allows us to have productive and meaningful conversations with them, create realistic expectations of them and avoid destructive conflict with them. All of this makes for a cohesive team, and who doesn’t want that?! I specialize in helping individuals and teams with their communication issues and Everything DiSC is one of the tools I use… Whether you are a coach, HR specialist, manager or business owner, this is the course for you! Register early in order to get your Workplace Profile before the workshop to use throughout the day. This Profile is a comprehensive report about YOU and will help you personally engage with the workshop material and provide you with ideas about how to bring these new skills into your workplace. Date: June 23rd, 2015 9:00 am – 4:00 pm *Please note the registration cut-off date is June 9th, as registrants must complete their Workplace Profile before attending the workshop. Upon registration, you will receive an email with further instructions. Location: Victoria Executive Centre Fee: $450 CDN + GST – Includes morning and afternoon snacks, complimentary coffee/tea as well, your personal Everything DiSC assessment and a 30 minute, one-on-one coaching session to follow up with the work you do in the Thinkshop.
