Event Description:
We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Fierce Conversations! For the first time ever, Fierce Inc. will be offering one of their award-winning programs to the public, and the VEC has the honour of hosting it. What is “fierce”? To be fierce means to be authentic, present, and real in day-to-day conversations. Real can be scary. Yet it is the unreal or missing conversations that are costly—in terms of morale, engagement, and performance. Whether you are the leader of an organization, member of a team, or a business coach, this training will help ensure your conversations drive results, inspire innovation and support necessary change. The Fierce Conversations training program is comprised of five modules: The Foundation | Set the stage for change. Team Conversations | Create internal think tanks and promote cross-boundary collaboration. Coaching Conversations | Improve decision-making ability and foster self-discovery. Delegation Conversations | Deepen accountability and uncover clear paths for growth. Confrontation Conversations | Strengthen relationships while tackling tough issues. Fierce Conversations Inc. is accredited through ICF. Participants of the Fierce Conversations program can receive 7 credits for Core Competencies and 4.5 credits for Resource Development. What makes Fierce different? You use real issues—your most pressing problems—to learn the framework and connect emotionally. You practice your most critical conversations with other professionals and gather feedback. You explore possibilities and leave the session with a game plan for moving forward. For more information about Fierce Conversations, go to http://www.fierceinc.com/conversations-training Lily Seto is a Certified Executive Coach, Accredited Coaching Supervisor, Associate Faculty at Royal Roads University and the President of the Vancouver Island chapter of the International Coach Federation. Lily is a life-long learner with a passion for collaborative partnerships. She enjoys working from a systems perspective as she develops coaching cultures within organizations. She is dedicated to the individual’s learning experience while also being mindful of the organization’s needs. Lily’s facilitation style engages the group while injecting humour—so get ready to have some fun!
