Event Description: Head Back to School with Junior Achievement & the Prodigy Group

Junior Achievement needs your help to teach students in the Capital Region the basics of business. Share the knowledge and experience that you have with local youth!

Join us and help inspire students in Grade 5-7. Your mentorship will help to ensure that these students consider making business and entrepreneurship part of their successful future. Who: All JA Volunteers are welcome to attend. If you are not already a JA Volunteer, please visit our web site to register and complete our volunteer application.

Visit www.jabc.org and click the Volunteer tab. What: The orientation is hosted by JA’s Deborah Wakeham. You’ll learn how to facilitate the four one-hour lessons of JA’s Business Basics: Our Business World program.

Where: Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce located at 852 Fort Street – come join us in the boardroom!
When: Wednesday, October 22nd from 12noon to 1:15pm Light refreshments will be provided.

During the Volunteer Orientation you’ll learn how to deliver the JA curriculum in the classroom. You will receive the classroom materials and be matched with a local school where you will volunteer this fall. Volunteer to facilitate the lessons on your own or cofacilitate with another Prodigy Group member.

Donate your time as a volunteer with Junior Achievement. Your small contribution of time will make a very BIG impact.
