Event Description: For more information and to register, visit, http://www.eventbrite.ca/o/volunteer-victoria-1749897131 Many of us spend a lot of time in front of screens throughout our work day. In this time of high technology, we must understand how to protect the health of our eyes and our vision, while benefiting from all the conveniences we enjoy; computers, smartphones, ipods, ipads, e-readers, etc. With a little knowledge, we can use these devices well and often, without finishing our days with exhausted, irritated eyes and blurry and blurrier vision. Come for an enjoyable hour spent learning the basics about how to improve vision and visual health. Learn about the cause of vision problems as discovered by William Bates a century ago, and discover how you can lessen or eliminate any dependency on lenses and make your eyes healthier in the bargain. Just ask yourself, “If the rest of my body can heal when ill or injured, why not my eyes?” The answer is that absolutely, yes, vision can heal and it is not necessary to become more and more dependent on stronger and stronger glasses, or opt for risky surgery. There is a natural solution! Please join us ... This seminar is experiential and fun, and it can be your first step on the road to clarity! About the Facilitator: Joy Thompson has been teaching Natural Vision Education methods for 18 years, since improving her own eyesight in 1996. She is passionate about helping people to see better, feel better, and live healthier lives by improving the health and functioning of their eyes. Joy works with individuals, leads seminars and workshops, and speaks and writes on this fascinating subject. She is co-founder of the Canadian Association of Vision Educators, author of the newly released book, "Easy on the Eyes", and Joy will soon be making her home here in Victoria. About the Venue: This workshop will be held at the Volunteer Victoria Learning Centre. Coffee, tea and water provided. Parking is most easily found at the City Parkades (Yates or View st), or at the Bay Centre parkade. First Hour Free vouchers are available if you choose to park in City Parkades.
