Do you want to learn new ideas and hear about exciting events that have worked in our community, use staff & volunteers efficiently and save time? Join us Sept 25th for a full day workshop facilitated by Heidi Barlow-Lee of HBL Events who will provide an overview of the key elements of planning a successful event. You will learn: •How to plan an event using the Event Planning Cycle •How to assess if the event is right for your organization •How to design an event that meets your objectives •Current trends in events and out of the box thinking About the Facilitator: Heidi Barlow-Lee is a natural leader who works for many local non-profit organizations producing Projects with Purpose. Heidi has raised over 2.5 million dollars locally and is a Board Director with the International Special Events Society, Vancouver Chapter and Vice President of Travelers with Heart Education Society, Belize. She is a Mentor for Leadership Victoria, teaches the Event Management course at Camosun College and is the Owner of HBL Events. In 2014, she was nominated for a Star Award from Canadian Special Events for Event Professional of the Year. Heidi values her relationships with many great community leaders and truly enjoys collaborating with these individuals to produce events that make a difference. She is passionate about the causes she supports and shines brightest when leading great people to deliver spectacular events! www.hblevents.ca About the Venue: This workshop will be held at the Hillside Seniors' Health Centre, in the Yakimovich Wellness Centre room. This is beside the Aberdeen Hospital, where pay parking can be accessed behind Aberdeen. Light snacks and beverages will be provided, please bring a bag lunch. Bike racks are accessible and there is a bus stop nearby.
