The new Canadian anti-spam legislation (CASL) took effect July 1st 2014. This is an opportunity to ensure your email and marketing practices are in line with this new legislation. Discover the new rules, as well as how to safely build your email lists and contacts. Learn everything you need to do in order to comply with the new CASL requirements while generating results through your email campaigns. This 90 minute session will cover: • What is CASL • Understand how non-profits and charitable organizations fit in this legislation • Defining permission: both implied and expressed • The advantages of permission marketing • How to grow your contact list within the guidelines of CASL • Ideas for getting all of your implied consent recipients to express consent before the first expiration deadline About the Facilitator: Robyn Quinn, APR, MA, Fellow CPRS is owner and Principal Consultant for Big Bang Communications. Robyn Quinn is a dynamic marketing communications professional with 20 years experience ranging from military, technology and government to not-for-profit, health promotion, entertainment, professional sports and transportation sectors. Robyn is the ALE (Area Local Expert) for Constant Contact, considered the leading platform for email marketing. A graduate of Royal Roads University (MA) and World Trade/Saint Mary’s University (Dip. International Marketing & Finance), Robyn also has a Certificate of Change Management from PROSCI and is an accredited member of the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS).
