Event Description: You may have had a mild traumatic brain injury and not even know it. Information Seminar: with Dr. Chris Hammer, Psychologist Tuesday, June 17th, 2014 at 6:30 pm A mild traumatic brain injury can be the result of a car accident, whiplash, a fall as a toddler, a sports injury or any other kind of trauma to the head. Sometimes, we don’t even realize that we have had a brain injury or concussion (which is also a brain injury). Many mild traumatic brain injuries, including concussions, don’t show up on an MRI or CT Scan, and may not seem debilitating at the time of the injury, so they go undiagnosed. Many times the symptoms don’t even seem related to the injury. Symptoms of a mild brain injury can include: Irritability • Anger • Difficulty Focusing • Poor Memory • Depression • Fogginess • Headaches • Fatigue Sound like you or anyone you know?
