This interactive session focuses on strategic communications planning and measurement. Strategic communications is researched, targeted and measured – everything has a purpose! This session focuses on the foundation elements of effective strategic communication planning – relationship to organizational priorities, communications objectives and measures. By communicating strategically organizations are able invest limited resources effectively AND they’re able to evaluate the effectiveness of that investment. So, bring your organizational priorities and questions about strategic communications planning and measurement…. About the Facilitator Claire Rettie holds a Master’s Degree in Social History. Her career includes work roles as an executive director for non-profit organizations in Alberta and British Columbia, a director in municipal and provincial governments, an instructor at the University of Victoria in communications and community development and with Dalhousie University in non-profit governance. As principal of an independent consulting and coaching practice Claire works with leaders and teams in the areas of strategic planning and communications, organizational change, and governance transformation. About the Venue This workshop will be held at the Volunteer Victoria Learning Centre. Coffee, water, tea and fruit provided, please bring your own lunch. Parking is most easily found at the City Parkades (Yates or View st), or at the Bay Centre parkade. First Hour Free vouchers are available if you choose to park in City Parkades.
