Why does it matter?” If you are seeking to implement a change initiative that demonstrates respect, builds trust, invites participation and allows stakeholders to claim ownership for the change, then this session is for you. Beth will introduce you to the 5C Model so that you can more successfully navigate change in your organization. Bring your questions and come prepared to learn more about this integrated and inclusive model designed to improve the outcomes of your change initiative. In this session, you will learn more about avoiding these common pitfalls: Engaging in activities that inadvertently destroy the culture Employees feeling disrespected and neglected during change Stakeholder exhaustion and frustration with a lack of clarity, information and consultation Participants will discover: • Approaches for communicating what you mean to say • How to effectively respond to the question, “Why this change NOW?” • How to complete the thousand little steps that help us achieve successful change • Why honoring confidential conversations is important • How to involve stakeholders to create greater ownership in change initiatives Beth Page is an author, international consultant and speaker who specializes in providing organization development consulting and coaching services in collaboration with her clients. She has led and consulted on numerous projects in the areas of change management; small systems; role negotiation, and team building. She also provides coaching for individuals and senior executives to encourage greater leadership and organizational success. Beth, who founded Dream Catcher Consulting in 2004, is Associate Faculty in the Master of Arts in Leadership Program and MBA program at Royal Roads University, and a faculty member of Business and Management at University Canada West, a private University based in Victoria, BC. Previously, she held Organization Development and Human Resources positions with such firms as JDS Uniphase, Export Development Canada, and OmniMark Technologies Corporation. As a volunteer, Beth serves as a mentor with the Women’s Enterprise Centre, and serves on the Board of the Cowichan Valley Hospice Society.
