Event Description: For more information and register, visit, http://www.eventbrite.ca/o/volunteer-victoria-1749897131 Evaluation of a senior administrator is challenging for board members. Board members see their Executive Director (ED) at board meetings but infrequently beyond those monthly gatherings. Learning how their ED functions, makes progress on goals, gains support from community members and handles staff issues remain mainly unknown, and can be challenging to navigate. This workshop will provide a process to bring pertinent information to the Board so they can provide a fact-based evaluation – free from guesses and assumptions. The workshop will cover how to: obtain fact-based information on ‘how’ the ED accomplishes the goals determining what factors helped or hindered forward progress which priorities received the greatest attention and if that in-depth focus was beneficial determine how staffing issues are handled or celebrated obtain feedback from internal and external sources to augment personal observations preparing the Ed to participate in the evaluation process holding the feedback conversation About the facilitator: Heather Hughes is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) with an international clientele. She has over 30 years experience in Organizational Risk Assessment, Succession Planning, Knowledge Transfer, Talent Management and Leadership Development.
