Join Kari Frazer to explore connecting with your community using easily accessible internet tools, with the goal of enhancing your fundraising efforts. Learn how and when emails, social media, apps and your website fit within the cycle of fundraising. Tools, tips and resources will guide you to maximize the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of support. It’s about more than the tools – it’s about how strategically & effectively we use them. Participants will walk away with: A clear understanding of when and how to use social media tools for specific parts of the fundraising cycle: identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship. An understanding of best practices to maximize fundraising on your website. Examples, techniques and tips that you can apply to your fundraising immediately. The last hour will give you the opportunity to connect in small groups with technical experts for specific questions that come up on Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, WordPress, E-newsletters, Instagram, Pinterest and more. Who is this for? Communications professionals who want a better understanding of applications to the fundraising cycle, managers who oversee fundraising and communication ,and fundraisers who want to expand their tool kit. About the Facilitator: Kari Frazer has been practicing fundraising, marketing and media relations for over 25 years. She has taught marketing at the college level and facilitated local, provincial and national workshops in fundraising, board development and social media. Kari holds the international Certified Fund Raising Executive designation and earned a Masters of Arts Degree in Leadership and Training with a focus on maximizing ethical fundraising practices among small non-profits. Her current passions are social media, coaching, consulting and showing you the way. About the venue: This workshop will be held at the Volunteer Victoria learning space. Light refreshments, baked goods and fruit will be served. Parking is most easily found at the Bay Centre underground parking or the Yates City of Victoria Parkade.
