Event Description: Come Join our Fundraising Family!! On Saturday, December 7th from 11am-3pm, Stewart College is hosting a fundraiser with 100% of all money raised going to www.shelterboxcanada.org to help people in the Philippines affected by Typhoon Haiyan. Stewart College will match all money raised up to $500 and the Government of Canada will match it again. The event will include a craft sale, bake sale, flea market, entertainment, and international experience based activities such as tea ceremony and origami making. Admission is $2.00 per person or by donation. We hope to involve all of our Stewart College family in this event: our students, our staff, our host families, local businesses and partners, friends, and friends of friends! There are a number of ways that you may be able to help: - Rent a table to sell your own flea market items, “crafty creations” or products (like Tupperware, Avon etc.) $10 per table. - Donate baked goods for the bake sale by December 6th. (Items can be sold individually or in packs.) - Donate flea market or craft items for sale. - Donate your time and expertise on the day or beforehand. - Promote the event to family, friends and clubs. - Share our blog or Facebook Event page with friends, clubs and associations you belong to - maybe your club can rent a table to do their own fundraising event, promoting the Philippines FUNdraiser to club members! - Display our great new poster! - Come to the event!
