Event Description: Join Volunteer Victoria's Emerging Leaders Network for this participatory lunch hour session centred around the importance of bringing a positive and curious attitude to work and how attitudes can make or break our relationship with our colleagues and our happiness with our work itself. We’ll cover strategies to enhance our creativity, connection and satisfaction at work and what we can each do to create the kind of work culture that we all crave. Learning outcomes: • Discuss why a positive work culture is so important • Discover our role in building healthy work culture • Explore the connection between curiosity and innovation and strategies to make time for it Facilitator: Beth Cougler Blom is a nonprofit and training professional with a passion for bringing people together. She is a facilitator and consultant through her own business, Beth Cougler Blom Facilitation. Beth regularly works with individuals and groups to either help them engage volunteers more effectively or design and facilitate effective learning events, both online and in person – or both! She is driven by the desire to bring people together, talk about new ideas, strengthen connections and make change. Beth aims to create community in everything she does, whether it’s convening a group of people to come together for a specific purpose, designing and facilitating interactive training events, or making introductions between people. Tea/Coffee/water will be provided, but please bring your own lunch. Parking is most easily found on the street, and is cheapest for 1 hour in the City Parkades (Yates Parkade or View St parkades are closest).
