We invite you to learn about the challenges and opportunities to make Greater Victoria's communities safer for everyone.
Join us for our Annual General Meeting at the Victoria Marriott Inner Harbour. You'll hear about The Chamber's recent advocacy wins and a report on the year that was and receive our audited financial statements. A panel discussion will follow addressing the Chamber's advocacy calling for safe communities at home and work. The panel includes Jonny Morris, CEO of the Canadian Mental Health Association BC, Carolina Ibarra, CEO of Pacifica Housing Advisory Association, and Chief Del Manak, Victoria Police Department.
The foundation of our daily lives depends on feeling safe in our homes, our cities and our workplaces. Our region’s vibrant neighbourhoods are an attraction for visitors as well as people moving to our region to build their careers, start a family or enjoy the quality of life we can offer. We need to ensure all citizens and visitors feel secure downtown and in every community in Greater Victoria. Our panel will discuss the factors contributing to the current challenges and highlight the work being done to address them.
