The purpose of 94 FORWARD is:

To perpetuate the spirit of the 1994 Commonwealth Games legacy and its intention to fund and support the on-going development of high performance sport within the Capital Regional District.

As legacy steward, 94 FORWARD will:

- PRESERVE the capital of the fund
- DIRECT funds as intended
- GROW the value of the fund

Sport entities and activities funded by 94 FORWARD will demonstrate measurable impact on high performance sport (Long Term Athlete Development stages 5 & 6), along with an indirect benefit on stages 1-4 and 7 of the LTAD model.
