The Union Club of British Columbia prides itself on offering its Members and guests first class service, courtesy and comfort that rivals any that you may have experienced elsewhere.
Founded in 1879, the Union Club of British Columbia is a landmark institution in the heart of downtown Victoria. With an imposing neo-Georgian design inspired by the classic clubs of London, this heritage building has always offered premier service, amenities, companionship, and exceptional comfort. And because of those virtues, the Club has consistently attracted a diverse and impressive membership – the type of community movers and shakers who have been at the heart of the business, political, and cultural life of Victoria from its early colonial beginnings. Our impressive list of Members represents a legacy of leadership that has helped Victoria to become one of the most attractive and sophisticated cities in all Canada.
Step through the front door and you’re in a grand lobby with rich mahogany paneling, a 20-foot ceiling, and an expanse of stained glass skylights. It’s an appropriately grand welcome from a Club that takes great pride in being a full-service institution with superb facilities, welcoming staff, and a friendly atmosphere. We offer an elegant, relaxed, and amiable ambience for men and women: an oasis for reading, conversation, and fine dining. Our goal is always to ensure that Members and Guests feel as relaxed and comfortable as they would at home.
Whether you are interested in long-term membership or are just planning a visit to Victoria, the Union Club is eager to offer a unique array of experiences, amenities, and contacts.
