Pearson College UWC (
www.pearsoncollege.ca) is Canada’s most globally-minded school and one of 17 United World Colleges around the world. Up to 200 students (aged 16-19 from across Canada and over 75 nations from around the world) study a two-year, pre-university curriculum based on the International Baccalaureate (IB) program and experiential learning from a residential campus on Pedder Bay in Metchosin. Named after former prime minister and Nobel Peace Prize recipient Lester B. Pearson, since 1974 the College has recruited a deliberately diverse student body including young people from conflict regions and challenging socioeconomic circumstances.
