Murchie’s Tea & Coffee has been owned and operated in British Columbia since it’s inception.

Murchie’s name is synonymous with quality & excellence of all their products. Our core business is focused on procuring only the highest grades of Fairly Traded teas and coffees obtained from the finest tea gardens and coffee farms. All of these products are shipped directly to our Plant in Richmond, B.C. where the coffees are freshly roasted ‘just right’, teas are blended and packaged for sale along with our own spices and spice blends, gourmet condiments, preserves and delicious baked goods through the companies retail locations, mail order division, corporate beverage services, wholesale retailers & groceries.

Murchie’s has two commercial kitchens, one in the Plant in Richmond and the other in Victoria, B.C. These kitchens produce all of our specialty product lines including gourmet condiments, preserves and delicious baked goods.

Murchie’s philosophy is grounded in purchasing their products only from growers that contribute to requisite wages, schools and medical facilities for their workers. We never purchase the common Robusta ‘coffee bean’ but only purchase shade grown, high grade washed Arabica coffee beans, our coffees are naturally lower in caffeine.

In commemoration of Murchie’s Centennial in l994, Murchie’s Tea & Coffee Ltd. was granted a Coat of Arms which display’s our company’s motto. “A Tradition of Excellence’. Since its founding Murchie’s has been unsurpassed in its craft to expertly blend teas and coffees. An excellence began by John Murchie over a century ago and still continues today.
