The Vancouver Island Construction Association (VICA) is a not-for-profit organization that serves the construction industry of Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands, and other coastal areas of British Columbia. As a member-based and industry-led association, it advocates for the construction community at large while offering exclusive benefits to its 400+ member companies and their employees.
VICA offers a comprehensive industry training program; access to project opportunities, pre-bid reports, and other business intelligence; one-on-one member support; statutory declaration services; and networking events that bring public owners, designers, and contractors together, such as the VICA Conference and the Capital Project Plan Series. The association also provides a platform for construction community collaboration through the Construction Council of Vancouver Island and the Trade and Contractor Committees, as well as the Women in Construction and U40 networks.
Recognized as the voice of the construction industry for Vancouver Island, VICA works with its regional partners (VRCA, SICA, NRCA), its provincial partner (BCCA), and its national partner (CCA), to serve the institutional, commercial, industrial, civil, and multi-family residential construction sectors across the nation. As one of Canada’s oldest not-for-profit construction associations, VICA has been helping its members thrive while promoting industry excellence since 1912.
