Island Deaf and Hard of Hearing Centre (IDHHC) is a specialized non-profit agency supporting hard of hearing, Deaf, and Deafblind persons, their employers, family, and friends. Services include full audiology clinics; selling of hearing aids and assistive technology; counselling for families; access to ASL interpreting and captioning services; outreach and education. Our Sound of Change (SoC) Initiative provides low-income seniors with free refurbished hearing aids, assistive technology and rehab services. Our Employment teams support employees to access funding for hearing aids, guidance and tools for managing hearing loss at work. For employers we assist to find qualified staff, potential wage subsidies and hearing loss awareness training for your business.
