TERRA aims to provide high quality, competitive archaeological consulting services. Company principals Kevin Twohig and Dan Weinberger each have over ten years of consulting experience in B.C. and over seven years in management of multiple, simultaneous, large scale archaeology projects. Both are professional members of the British Columbia Association of Professional Archaeologists (BCAPA).

We strive to provide cost effective and timely completion of projects through efficiency, and without compromise to integrity or quality. We offer a hands-on approach and make a point of face-to-face discussion with First Nations communities and the client or other stakeholders whenever needed. We have developed a close working relationship with many First Nations and ensure community involvement and input in all projects whenever possible. We keep all involved parties informed as to project status and issues in order to properly manage and address any situations that may arise.

TERRA’s team of archaeologists are highly motivated professionals who have a keen interest in uncovering and understanding the past. An overriding respect for heritage resources ensures that TERRA’s efficient completion of archaeological studies includes the ultimate protection of the resource. Our obligation to uphold the Heritage Conservation Act of British Columbia and our obligation to work in our client’s best interest is a challenge we consistently meet.

TERRA’s staff archaeologists possess degrees in archaeology or anthropology and have significant practical field experience throughout the province. In addition to our full time archaeological staff we regularly hire other discipline specialists as required. We also make it our practice to hire local First Nation community members to assist with projects. Many of these assistants have worked along side our archaeologists on a regular basis and contribute their energy, knowledge, and skills to successful project completion. In cases where no experienced assistants are available from the local First Nation, we provide an on-the-job orientation to field archaeology to enable new assistants to be active, contributing participants.
