With over 180 corporate members, the Urban Development Institute (UDI) Capital Region is a non-profit association representing thousands of professionals who deliver the expertise behind every component of land development and construction. Our membership spans developers and a diverse range of professional service firms that support planning, design, financing, and delivery of projects.

Our mission is to advance a thriving, sustainable development industry in the Capital Region through three core pillars:

• Advocacy - Serving as the collective voice of the industry on local, regional, provincial, and federal issues, supported by research that informs policy and best practices, and working collaboratively to help shape policies that support responsible growth.
• Education - Offering educational programming, including a development certificate program, webinars, and workshops, along with professional development opportunities through events and expert speakers.
• Networking - Connecting members to foster collaboration, share knowledge, and strengthen relationships within Greater Victoria’s development community.
