BC Air Guard is active in the field of training Indigenous and non-Indigenous personnel interested in career development, working with remote sensing technologies, Remotely Piloted Aviation Systems (RPAS) deployed from vessels providing aerial monitoring of coastal traditional territories of Vancouver Island Indigenous communities.

Servicing regional littoral surveillance data collection for the support of marine ecosystems and the impact on marine mammals within its territories.

BC Air Guards has proudly partnered with the Natural Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and Carleton University leading the CREATE Uninhabited aviation system Training Innovations and Leadership Initiative (UTILI) program.
