🎭 Continuing the Legacy: Proud Sponsors of Kaleidoscope Theatre! 🌟 From our family's pioneering roots in Vancouver Island to today, where we honor tradition by supporting the arts. Back in 1862, when George Stephen Butler and Miss Fanny Catherine Brett were new settlers in Victoria BC, George's singing and Fanny's piano skills enlivened social gatherings. Fanny later became a music teacher, even tutoring pupils from North Saanich, eight miles away – sometimes on foot! 💖 We're thrilled to announce our sponsorship of Kaleidoscope Theatre for Young People, carrying forward our commitment to nurturing creativity and inspiring young minds. 🎨✨ Join us in celebrating the magic of theater and the power of imagination! 🎭 #SupportTheArts #CommunityLegacy #InspireCreativity 🌈🎉

Happy Valentine’s Day to all our concrete and aggregate lovers! We know how much you enjoy seeing the amazing connections between these two materials, just like we do. That’s why we want to share our perspective on how concrete and aggregate are more than just building blocks – they are also symbols of love. Think about it: concrete is made of aggregate, which comes in different shapes, sizes and colors. Together, they create a strong and durable mixture that can withstand any challenge. Isn’t that what love is all about? Finding someone who supports you and makes you stronger? Whether it’s your partner, your family, your friends or your colleagues, we all have someone who is our aggregate in life. And together, we form concrete bonds that last. So this Valentine’s Day, let’s celebrate the love we have for each other and for our favorite materials. Let’s be grateful for the foundation of love that concrete and aggregate provide us. And let’s keep building beautiful things with them!

It may surprise you to learn that people in Canada spend an average of $260 per month on out-of-pocket costs such as medications, caregiver expenses, getting to appointments and other transportation costs. For certain populations, like people living in rural communities and families caring for young children facing cancer, the costs can be much greater. We're excited to share that we have donated $22,000 to the Canadian Cancer Society as part of our annual fundraising campaign. This is a cause that is very close to our hearts, as we have lost team members and friends to this terrible disease. The Canadian Cancer Society does amazing work in research, prevention, advocacy and support for cancer patients and survivors. Together, we can create a world where no one fears cancer. #cancersucks #giveback

The transformation of Butler's Head Office marks a significant chapter in its history. The dedication and expertise demonstrated by Kinetic Environmental have truly made this endeavor a success! Here's to the team that made it happen, the memories we've bid farewell to, and the exciting possibilities that lie ahead. 🏗️💪 #DemolitionSuccess #Teamwork #TransformativeProjects #MilestoneAchievement
A huge thank you to Butler Concrete & Aggregate Ltd for a great new project 🙌 Butler's head office, formerly Mount Newton High School, is a two-story building with a partial concrete bunker basement. It's a place that holds stories and moments dear to many. Placed on Butler’s Keating gravel pit, Kinetic Environmental performed the #abatement, #salvage & #demolition of the building to extract the remaining aggregate resources underneath. We look forward to continuing to work together in the future! #NewBeginnings #BritishColumbia #Destruction #SiteTransformation #AbatementBC #DemolitionBC

Really enjoyed talking about the importance of EPDs in decarbonizing the construction sector today, as Building Transparency’s closer for our LinkedIn live webinar series. As our non profit grows, much of my time is focused on strategy and supporting our team. It was nice today to return to just talking about what I’ve learned and what I love, with the story of how I got here weaved through ALL of the three letter acronyms. #ec3 #epd #lca #gwp #pcr
Decarbonizing Materials with EPDs: Understanding Construction's Nutritional Labels The construction industry recognizes its outsized impact on global warming and is focused on reducing its GHG emissions. To do this, architects, engineers, contractors, material manufacturers and specifiers must understand Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs). EPDs provide a “carbon roadmap” to AEC professionals when comparing construction materials, but not all EPDs are the same, and there is a lack of overall standardization of these resources across the industry. In the final session of the Embodied Carbon Actions series from Building Transparency, attendees will explore the critical aspects of EPDs and how they enable industry leaders to make informed decisions regarding construction materials. Join Stacy Smedley, Executive Director at Building Transparency, for a LinkedIn Live event on Thursday, November 16, at 12 PM ET. Sign up today to secure your spot!

We have been sponsoring the Sooke Fine Arts Show for 14 years and watched it evolve into a world-class exhibition. The Show is Vancouver Island’s longest-running juried fine art show. It celebrated its 37th anniversary this year! We take immense pride in being a strong supporter of local causes. Congratulations Jan Vriesen on your Award of Excellence. Thank you to the wonderful Aleya Adams who represented Butlers and presented the award on our behalf. #BuyLocal #CommunitySupport #CelebratingSuccess
It was an honour to represent Butler Concrete & Aggregate Ltd as a presenting sponsor at the 2023 Sooke Fine Arts Show. Here I am beside an Award of Excellence, Garden 1 (mixed media on canvas) by Jan Vriesen. I left the event inspired by all of the local artist and the incredible effort of the Sooke Fine Arts Society for hosting this event. #localart #communitysupport #inspirational

It is environment week and a great time to share some of our environmental initiatives, like our work with Empire Hydrogen Energy Systems. Empire Hydrogen’s technology enhances the existing diesel fuel system of our concrete trucks by using electrolysis to convert water into Hydrogen and Oxygen and injecting these gases into the engine’s air intake where the combustion process is enhanced and accelerated. #CleanestConcrete #GreenestConcrete #Innovation #EnvironmentWeek #technology #energy Check out their latest article: https://lnkd.in/gyGAaGtW
